This is my very second card. (I think I'll stop the count).
Last week, my husband and I had an intimate dinner with some family and friends, to celebrate our marriage. We are more "low-key" people, so we didn't want a big wedding. Because of a misunderstanding, we didn't get the room we booked. Everything else was a little hassle since then, until we sat down to eat. So I didn't have the chance to take some proper pictures of the decorations I made for my wedding table.
After everything was over, I felt the urge to make a "Thank you" card for the guests.
This is what I came up with!
Materials I used:
- pink patterned card stock (The Old World Stack, DCWV, textured);
- dark red (burgundy) card stock;
- wired pink ribbon (Offray);
- two shades of pink narrow ribbon (American Crafts);
- two music notes brads;
- pre-cut paper butterfly (K&Company);
- sheer paper;
I cut the pink patterned card stock in a card size that I desired.(I forgot to measure again!)
I wrapped a piece of wired pink ribbon around it (on the upper part). I cut a square off the ribbon and put a piece of the dark red card stock underneath, with the pre-cut butterfly glued on top. (in the image, the butterfly has a piece of sequin on the right...I found one of the floor, fallen from my clothes, and I didn't want to throw it away!)
I wrapped two pieces of narrow ribbon around the wired wide pink ribbon. I attached the music notes brads on them.
With a piece of dark red card stock and sheer paper, I wrote my message.
I hope you like this one, too!!
