Kristina Werner's Color Inspiration #34

I had to struggle with the computer for a little while, but I really wanted to be a part of the #34 challenge. So I'm just going to post the pictures of the cards, then take a nap (so very tired....), then go to our church Christmas pageant, then come and add some more information to this post.

"Thinking of you" card - 6 x 6 

(I love the balance of the square cards...) 

Cardstock:  ColorCore, WVDC - Nostalgia Collection;

Stamp: 

Ribbon: RibbonFX.

"Treasure" card - 6 x 6

Accents:  Paper Studio pastel flower brads; 

 

Tea Bags Advent Calendar

My husband is a big tea drinker. So I thought I would make an Advent Calendar out of tea bags. 

For this I needed:

~ a few of different kind of tea bags (according to how many days there are 'till Christmas);

~ punched tags out of cardstock ( I like the scalloped punch, but you can use any kind of shape);

~ glue;

~ any kind of numbers: rub-ons, embellishments...your choice;

~ tiny Christmas decorations that would fit on the new tag. 

I glued the original tea tag in between two scalloped tags. Then on top I glued a punched patterned paper, then rubbed on the numbers, along with some snowflakes. Then I decorated the original tea box in Christmas colors. I went on the simple side, with the colors that my husband loves, but you can go as jolly as you like!!!

I also kept the tea kinds secret, so my husband has a nice surprise every December morning! :) 

My first Color Inspiration Challenge - Kristina Werner's #33

        

"My first"...I have said these words a lot lately, since I decided to stretch my horizons in Card Making and take up on some challenges. 

For this one I have the impression I am swimming with the big "sharks", but I hope they won't mind a little fish floating along! :-) 

The colors took me aback a little, but I still dug in my card stock and paper stash and picked the best one I could find. 

I used:

~ ColorCore for the pumpkin orange card stock;

~ DMD - Paper Revelations for Teal;

~ DCWV for the light teal and celery patterned paper;

~ RibbonFX satin brown;

~ White snowflake from....shoot, I threw the package away...
