Raspberry Suite Color Challenge #4

I think Dawn McVey has a few little cardmaking elfs that keep her studio going while she's on vacation in Hawaii!!

Because she is sitting on a ship deck, enjoying the sunset, while her posts with awesome cards keep popping up! :-)

I couldn't miss her 4th color challenge, so I made a card using my first and only Papertrey Ink stamp set, {Life}.

Lesson learned today: never stamp after adhering the DP to the cardstock. On my card, the sentiment is a bit uneven, not much, but I was lucky. It could be worse.

I got some cute ribbon at Tuesday Morning (it's "Making Memories") and couldn't wait to try it out.

"Life" Card   5 x 5 in

Materials:

~ Paper: Stampin' Up! Delicate Dots;

~ Stamps: Papertrey Ink's {Life};

~ Ink: Stampabilities {Brown};

~ Ribbon: Making Memories;

~ Dew Drops: Robin's Nest.

I cut the butterfly with my Silhouette, using a free file on the "Crafty, The Craft Robo" web site. It was quite hard to find a simple shape of a butterfly, without intricate cuts! Why is that? :-)

I found some really cute ribbon in the craft section of Tuesday Morning!

Has anyone noticed that the pictures upload much lighter than edited, in Blogger? I have the edit them unnaturally dark, so they don't "wash out" after upload! Any suggestions on how you do it?

Today it was my last dat working at the coffee shop. I decided to "stay home" from now on, so I can get to writing more and of course, making more cards. It was a bit sad but, hey, the coffee shop is only three blocks from our house! :-)

** Hope you enjoyed my card **

I now use Picasa3 to post my pictures onto my blog. If you don't have it, try it. It does some amazing things. And it's all for free!!!

The coffee house's loss is the card world's gain! I love how you used the 4 "pearls" next to the sentiment and perfectly placed them on the dots on the patterned paper. This really brought attention to your sentiment. Nice card!

Cute card. Just love that butterfly, and I really can't see any unevenness. Looks great.

Oh and the ribbon on my card... I actually bought it from JoAnn's like that! Isn't it gorgeous!
