Hello everyone!
I made a Valentine's Card in my favorite color, purple. I also dug out one of my favorite paper stash, BasicGrey {Eva Collection}. I'm very fond of twine lately. There is a lovely store next to our house that sells needlepoint supplies and they have a lot of different colors and styles of twine. It can almost beat ribbon.
Recipe for {Rain or Shine} Card 4 x 51/2 in

~ Paper : BasicGrey {Eva Collection};
~ Stamp: PTI {Peaceful Poinsettia, Scattered Showers - sentiment};
~ Ink: Stampabilities' {Plum};
~ Dew Drops: Robin's Nest;
Today I wish I could stay at home and watch Law & Order: SVU endlessly. I still marvel how can someone feel so tired after a normal Saturday routine: cleaning the house and cooking. With the help of my husband, nonetheless. But I was also looking forward to go to church and have Father Dimitri come over to our home for lunch afterwards.
James wanted to ask Father Dimitri a question for some time now. He noticed (he has a great eye for detail) that his priestly vestments have one button missing. He wondered of the theological significance of that. Father Dimitri reached in his pocket and pulled a silver button out and the only explanation he had was that he didn't get around to sew the button back on. I guess not everything in the Orthodox Church has a deep symbolism attached.
I did get to catch a great nap afterwards and guess what I am doing after posting this? Watching Law & Order. My only prayer is that no one would show at my door offering me a job in a crime lab, because James would have to take a paternity leave and stay home with our baby.
"You better catch on sleep now", people tell me. I wish I could stash chunks of sleep in a box and have them handy for sleepless nights, but I can't. All I can do is keep the memories of a good night sleep and think about it later on, while rocking our baby.
It's still freezing cold here in southern Texas, a real winter. I love it that way, minus the stuffed nose and the winter coat that does not quite fit me anymore, but plus the hot chocolate, my favorite turtleneck sweater and winter boots that I finally got to wear.

Your card is so cute! Love it! And - it`s impossible to catch on sleep before the little sweeties rob it :) Enjoy to do what you want to do now!
Hugs,
Vanessa
I like your card. It's really a beauty.
And I was having a grate laugh reading your story.
I love also law and Order. And you are my second friend dreaming to work in such a lab. Brrrrrrrrrrrr. Not for me.
I think you can just write novels. You have such a humor and nice way to present some simple facts.
