Raspberry Suite Color Challenge #10

Hello everyone!

I think it's a rule: I love colors that make me wanna eat them! :-) 

Absolutely lovely colors. I would paint all the rooms in my house in these!

We spent a wonderful weekend in Friedericksburg, at our friends' river house. We visited the Herb Farm, the Wildseed Farm, places full of color and scent! We went with the boats down the river, a little stressful for me, because...I can't swim. My friends convinced me that the inflated boat WILL keep me above water. :-)  

Today I saw a lady that has a baby accessories shop and she agreed to sell some of my baby cards. YAY! I can use any finance I get to support my hobby/addiction.

Baby Cards

Good morning!

Yesterday, I was in the middle of a baby card when the door bell rang. The package from Papertreyink with the baby stamps arrived. Right on time to stamp the sentiment! :-) 

The baby boy card (the blue one) is inspired after Karen Giron's CARD.

We're leaving for Friedericksburg, TX, today, with a couple of friends. Looking forward for a drop of Germany for this weekend.

New Stamp, New Card

Hello again, everybody!

How is your Wednesday?  Mine goes according to plan (which is not always the case :-), between cards, writing, working out and making dinner. 

I found a cute stamp at Hobby Lobby and I put it to use right away. I am still waiting for a package from Papertreyink. Not a new set, though. I ordered some set for baby and baby shower cards. 

Here is the card with my new stamp:

Raspberry Suite Color Challenge #9

Good morning everyone! 

Morning is my favorite part of the day. The air is full of freshness and hope of a new day! :-)

It's been a little hard since we came back from Romania. My body clock was reversed and the constant tiredness brought me a touch of down time. 

This morning I knew that everything is going to be all right! :-)

I made a card for Dawn McVey's Raspberry Color Challenge. I'm a fan of two/three colors a card, so I was more than glad to get to work. 

The only shade I was sure I got right was the...black. I tried to get as true as possible with the others, but I also decided to not stress so much over it. :-)

So, here it is!

The butterflies and the flower were cut with my Quickutz Silhouette.

Little Princess Bella

A couple of months ago I found one of my former high school classmates on Facebook. It turned out she lives in Chicago and we've been keeping in touch since. 

Her daughter, Bella, has her birthday on Monday, so I made her a cards that suits a little princess like her. 

Happy Birthday, Bella!

I used my Silhouette to cut out the tag and the little golden crown. 

It's good to be back among my cardstock, DP, scissors, stamps...:-)

Our trip to Romania ~ Week 1

We sat down at Starbucks in the airport. After more than 24 hours, we were by ourselves again. We had come to Houston the day before and spent the night in the house of the pastor Stir, of Romanian Baptist Church. 

"We are  going to Romania!" one of us exploded, I don't remember which one, because both of us were equally excited. 

Our flight was an hour late. We didn't mind, we were there, ready to board at any time. That time came and we got on a welcoming airplane, with drinks every half and hour and 300 movies on the screen on the back of the front chair. Everyone should fly Continental ;-) I could watch all these chick flicks I have missed on, with conscience clear. 

We watched the sunset through the narrow windows, looking at the day going down in flames. Two hours later, we watched the sunrise above the Atlantic Ocean! :-)  

Only when we got closer to London we realized that our layover has been shortened by an hour, the delay of the flight in Houston. We only had 10 minutes left to catch the next plane. All we did in London was run, RUN! We stopped at a desk and asked questions. The lady told us to go back. In a rush of inspiration, we didn't listen and kept on running to where we knew the gate was. It was empty. Only the people who just finished boarding were dealing with the last details. A nice lady contacted the plane and asked if they would still accept us on...The next few seconds were the longest..They let us on the plane!

We made it, but our luggage didn't. They honestly didn't think we were going to make it, so they didn't put our luggage on the plane. 

We got to Romania all right, although we had to make do with the clothes we had for the next two days. 

Almost all the details for the ceremony and the party were checked, thanks to my sweet brother! We only had to talk to the pastor and decorate the church. 

Before we knew it, the big day has come!

Our last night

Tonight is our last night in Romania.

A part of me wishes to put off the good byes, especially after seeing the teary eyes of my grandmother. As our bed-and-breakfast host told us tonight "The most important thing is to know where you belong", so we are ready to come home to Victoria!

I collected a few things to make cards with. James tells me I could make cards with anything. That I could even tear off a card and make another one with it! I'm looking forward to get back in the swirl of challenges and catching up with all those awesome blogs I have been missing.

To go back to the beginnings of our trip, our wedding was beautiful. So they said. It took me a while to get over the fact that I was LATE. Forty minutes late. See, I can't even get over it right now, I had to mention it here!

If the internet went better, I would upload a few pictures and write more. I'll wait until we get back.
