Father's Day Cards

Dear all,

It's official: Papertrey's Guide Lines 2 Stamp Set must be one of my favorite sets! Perfect for any kind of cards and the color combinations could be endless. It's been a pure pleasure to work with it.

I wanted to make a card for Father's Day, just one, to see how it's like. Before I knew it, I had four! Here they are:

Are you planning something for the special men in your life? A barbecue, maybe? A little gift? I want to get my husband a set of earphones. His got broken and he keeps borrowing mine, ha! :-)

Papertrey Paper Dolls Color Challenge

Hi everyone!

I'm back again, glad that I have another card to share with you. I liked the concept I used for my previous card and because my sister-in-law is going to visit us for her birthday, I made one just like it, only with different (and more) colors (the Papertrey Paper Dolls Color Challenge).

Embellish Magazine Color Challenge {with Butterflies}

Hello again!

All I can say is "Yay for schedules!". When I started a schedule with my baby boy, I dreaded having every minute of my day planned, but by now I'm beginning to like it, in a painful sort of way. Usually, because of it, I manage to work out, make a card and do some things around the house.

For today I have a card for the newest Embellish Color Challenge {with Butterflies}.

Recipe for {Spread Your Wings and Fly}

~ Cardstock: Papertreyink {Kraft, Vintage Cream};
~ Paper: Papertreyink {Dotty Biscotti};
~ Stamps: Papertreyink {Fancy Flourishes, Butterfly Wishes};
~ Ink: Stampabilities {Black}, Papertreyink {Spring Moss};
~ Button: Papertreyink {Spring Moss Vintage}.

I'm so sad that the days for taking walks are over for (too) many months! This Saturday the temperatures will be close to 100 F. How are we gonna live without taking walks every day until maybe Halloween (seriously!)? My dream place to live is where the mornings are always cool and where I can see a mountain top from my bedroom window. Any suggestions?

Anyways, thanks for stopping by!

Color Cue {4} Challenge

Hi everyone!

Today is Saturday and that means I get to have enough time to post a card. My two boys, my big baby and my little baby, are hanging out together.

I made a card for Color Cue {4} Challenge. I know that the colors "screamed" a baby boy card, but I really wanted to use Dawn's Woodgrain Silhouettes. My resources for these particular colors are rather limited, so I used some clear embossing powder to create some shades of blue. So here is what I came up with:

Recipe for {For You} Card

~ Cardstock: Papertreyink {Lemon Tart, Aqua Mist, Enchanted Evening};
~ Stamps: Wplus9 {Woodgrain Silhouettes};
~ Ink: Stampabilities' {Brown};
~ Clear Embossing Powder;
~ Gemstones: Paper Studio;

I'd love to stay longer but, as usual, it's feeding time. Again. I have become rather fond of our time spent together, nursing. We had a rocky start, but now I'm thinking that the day I'll stop nursing is going to be a sad sad day.

Hope you enjoyed my card. Thanks for stopping by!

ColourQ Challenge #32

Hello everyone,

I finally got some time last night to make a card. I thought I would knock two challenges down, until this morning when I realized that I miss one of them. "No big deal", I thought, until I realized that if we're going to church, I'm gonna miss the second one, too! WHAT?! No, I couldn't let that happen, so I'm going to do this quick and dirty and hopefully have time to come back and fix some details. And like I should have expected, my photo editing program just doesn't want to open.

So here is my entry for ColourQ this week, slightly edited, with the emphasis on "slightly". I'm truly bummed, it's crazy that it affects me like that :-)

{EDIT: I re-started my computer and got my photo editing program to work. I'm not a pro with photos, but I'm doing my best}.

Recipe for {The Sky's the Limit}

~ Cardstock: Papertreyink {Spring Moss, Melon Berry, Kraft, Vintage Cream};
~ Stamps: Practicing Creativity {Look up!}, Hero Arts;
~ Ink: Stampabilities {Black};
~ Clear Embossing Powder;
~ Button: Papertreyink {Spring Moss Vintage}
~ Floss: Rainbow Gallery.

They have made computers fast, but they still need to work to make them fast when you need them to be!

I'll see you later! Thanks for stopping by!

Look Up!

Hello everyone!

I got around to getting the über-talented Courtney Baker's stamp set "Look Up!" and I also got a little time last night to ink it up. Beautiful set! I love the font and the size for the word "up". I know, they may be details, but it does matter what impression something makes on you, isn't it?

It's feeding time in 20 minutes for my little one, so I'd better make this QUICK.

Here is the card, right in time to send it to someone on graduation day!

{You're on your way up}  Card   5 1/2 x 4 in

~ Cardstock: Papertreyink {Melon Berry, Scarlet Jewel, Vintage Cream};
~ Paper: Papertreyink {Autumn Abundance};
~ Stamp: Practicing Creativity {Look Up!};
~ Ink: Papertreyink {Scarlet Jewel}, Stampabilities {Brown};
~ Buttons: Papertreyink {Scarlet Jewel};
~ Punch : Fiskar {Upper Crest};
~ Floss: Rainbow Gallery.

I hope you have a wonderful spring day and THANKS for stopping by!

Bright colors!

Hello everyone!

I have some bright cards for today! At first I was reluctant of the color combination, but once I got started, I could hardly stop! I think that two cards are enough, though.

{Thank You So Much} card

Supplies:

~ Cardstock, Stamps: Papertreyink;
~ Ink: Stampabilities;
~ Ribbon and Buttons: personal collection (unknown source);
~ Punch: Fiskars.

Instructions:

Trim yellow cardstock to create a A2 card base. Stamp bloom images in the bottom left corner. Stamp sentiment on card base. Trim a piece of pink cardstock and punch the lower edge with upper crest punch. Cover the pink cardstock with stamped leaves images in black, creating a background. Tie ribbon around the pink cardstock and adhere to the upper part of yellow card base with dimensional foam adhesive. Add buttons to the center of each bloom image with glue dots.

{Celebrate} Card

Supplies:

~ Cardstock: Papertreyink;
~ Stamps: Papertreyink;
~ Ink: Stampabilities;
~ Floss: Rainbow Gallery;
~ Buttons: personal collection (unknown source).

Instructions:

Trim pink cardstock to create an A2 card base. Trim a yellow cardstock piece and punch the lower edge with upper crest punch. Stamp the dot images on yellow cardstock, then mat on the pink card base with dimensional foam adhesive. Stamp a dots image on an extra piece of yellow cardstock, then cut it in a rectangular tag and stamp the sentiment. Round corners on tag and punch holes on each side. Run floss through the holes and around the base of the yellow cardstock. Adhere the buttons to the center of the dots images with glue dots.

*******

Tomorrow, my sweet little boy is 8 weeks old! If you had told me that after 8 weeks I'm going to be alive and sane...I would have hesitated to believe you. But here we are, happy and well and sleeping longer at night, that's the most important. Only once in a while, like yesterday, I have a passing temptation to never get out of the shower, to stay in there forever. But I couldn't do this to my family and I imagined my son, in ten years, wondering who's that lady covered in moss and mold in the shower. Besides, I would run out of hot water.

I hope you're looking forward to a great weekend.

THANKS for stopping by!
