Hello friends,
I have almost forgot this is the Labor Day weekend! That is, because I haven't been for too long in the States to get used to. For a moment I was sorry that I didn't bug my studious husband, who is the most happy with books all around him, to get away for this weekend, but something happened that changed my mind about being sorry. James called me yesterday from work and said: "I'm gonna tell you something you will NOT believe!" "Yeah, I will, try me!" I said, like a smarty-pants that I am. "Well, I was sitting at the computer correcting a paper and a new colleague sat next to me, saying "Ce faci?" (That is "How are you doing?" in Romanian)."
This guy has been married to a Romanian girl, who also has another couple, also Romanian, as friends! Romanians, in Victoria, TX?! I have lost hope of finding any, because I've been asking all around for a while. Even at the Post Office I kept asking if there was someone sending letters to Romania. So, I'm looking forward to meeting a few Romanians soon!
I haven't been able to stop making Christmas cards....talk about an early start on my Christmas stack. Early for me, because I know there are card makers out there that started in January this year! :-)
I'm still making cards for the Moxi Fab World {Stretch Your Holidays Style} Challenge, this time for the elegant category.
Recipe for {Golden} card 5 x 41/2 in
~Cardstock: Paper Studio; (no idea what brand the golden one is...);
~Paper: Paper Studio;
~Stamp: Nightingale;
~Ink: Making Memories {Gold};
~Ribbon: RibbonFX.
I cut the stars with Quickutz Silhouette.
I went with quite a few gold accents: golden card stock, golden ribbon, paper, ink...:-) Golden cannot NOT be elegant. Unless it's too much....does my card have too much gold? Hmm...:-)
I really hope you would enjoy getting a card like this for the holidays!
I'm going to post it now and look at the other (amazing) creations on the Moxi Fab World site!
