CPS #208 and ColourQ #75

Hello everyone!

I'll try to knock two challenges out of the way, something I haven't done in a long time!
CPS-Card Sketches #208 and ColourQ #75.

Here is my card:

Patterned paper seems to save my life quite a lot lately, because I realized I don't have as many ink pads as I would like. Or definitely not in these colo(u)rs.

Anyone have a good suggestion where I would get some good inks? I used to get my inks from PTI, but some of them are not up to my expectations (and I think they interrupted their ink line). Are Stampin' Up! inks good?

I'm afraid I'll have to keep it short today, since I already hear my little boy making noise from the other room. He must be awake!

I hope you have a great sunny day!

Love the modern look of this with the rounded corners and the way you stamped onto the patterned paper! Fab job with the colors!

I have been "collecting" Stampin' Up! colors because it frustrates me when I don't have the right colors for a challenge. I find the quality to be excellent and the colors to be vivid, but they don't always have the best coverage for larger clear stamps. Not surprising, since SU makes only rubber stamps! But I like the range of colors they offer and think they perform pretty reliably. Hope that helps!

Hi Daniella, I love your butterflies and the way you designed your card. Thanks for playing the colourQ challenge with us this week.

I love Stampin'Up inks! I love the colors and the consistency I get, each person is different however. The best way to buy is to get the sets of spots and reinkers(if you do not want to invest in the big pads. They work just as well, you just use the spot to stamp on the stamp, rather than putting the stamp on the ink pad, which is what you do if you use larger images.

This is a great card---and a great use of the CQC colors! As for inks, I mostly use SU inks (I'm a demo) so I can't recommend any others. It is nice to have the inks and the papers coordinate. I agree with Christina though, about the clear stamps----sometimes the SU ink does not work as well with them, but mostly it is just the lower-quality ones. I hope you'll try them and keep playing the CQC!

Very nice card.

For clear stamps I love Tsukineko inks. I use Brilliance (these have a nice glitter) and Versa Magic. They have beautiful colors and these ink works grate for my clear stamps. Plus you can have them in small pad, which are cheaper.
The SU! are not bad but not so good for clear stamps. I have some small pads and I like the colors but not how they work with clear stamps.
